Léonore's parlor

What the parlor forgets

Léonore is built so that your confidences stay confidences. What can be computed on your device is computed there; what must go through our servers is erased there as quickly as possible; what is intimate is never kept.

This is an English translation of the French original, provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

01The essentials, in three sentences

Your palm photographs are destroyed after the reading. Your voice never reaches us. Your date, time and place of birth never leave your phone.

The rest of this page details each of these commitments, and everything around them. We have hidden nothing: if a point seems ambiguous to you, write to us and we will rephrase it.

02Your questions and your draws

The text of a reading passes through our servers while it is being generated, then is purged in less than an hour. We do not keep your questions.

All that remains are technical counters — number of tokens used, duration, cost — which contain neither your words nor the text of your readings. They are linked to your account, for as long as it takes to measure what the parlor costs to run and to apply the daily caps; deleting your account removes them.

Your readings are kept on your device, in your personal grimoire, under your sole control.

03Your dreams

The Book of Dreams lives on your phone. You can write down your nights, reread them and see what recurs without anything reaching us: the journal, the recurrences and the symbols are computed on the device.

When — and only when — you ask Léonore to read a dream, she receives your account of it, your answers to the three questions, the emotion on waking and the strength of the dream. The date of the night, the title and the places stay with you.

A dream marked private is never sent, and no reading can be requested for it while the padlock is on.

04Your voice

You can ask your question out loud in every art of the parlor, and tell your dreams the same way. Transcription is done by your phone, not by us: it uses its on-device recognition whenever it has it, and otherwise — older device, language not installed — falls back on its system’s speech recognition service, which may analyse speech on Apple’s or Google’s servers. This is exactly the mechanism behind your keyboard’s dictation, and it is governed by your phone’s settings.

In every case, your voice never reaches us: we only receive the transcribed text, exactly as if you had typed it. We record nothing and keep no sound.

05Your palms

The photographs of your hands are analysed in memory and then immediately destroyed. They are never stored — neither on our servers nor in technical logs — and no one can see them again after your reading, not even us.

06Your dates, names and places of birth

In numerology, your chart is calculated on your device: only your first name and the already-reduced numbers are sent to us.

In astrocartography, the sky is also calculated on your device: only the places found travel. Your date, time and place of birth never leave your phone — it is impossible to reconstruct your birth chart from our servers.

07Artificial intelligence processing

Readings are written by language models. We use those of Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI, and the choice is made per art: each has its own voice, and Léonore is not the same before a deck of cards as before two palms. This processing takes place in the United States.

Only the necessary elements — your first name, your question, the cards drawn — are sent to them to produce the reading, under their business offerings.

These elements are not used to train their models.

08Notifications

Morning reminders go through no server. The waking word and the whisper of the day are set by your phone, at the time you chose, and the card of the day is drawn on the device: we do not know which one is yours, and we must go on not knowing. They work offline, with or without an account.

A few times a year, we may announce that a new door is opening in the parlor. That requires an address: if you have an account and have accepted notifications, we keep the notification identifier provided by Apple or Google and your phone’s time zone — so that the announcement arrives in the morning, and not in the middle of your night. Nothing else. Declining notifications, signing out or deleting your account erases this identifier.

Without an account, we keep no notification identifier — and your morning reminders keep working.

09Your purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Apple on iPhone and by Google on Android, depending on the store you used. We never see your bank details: we only receive the transaction notifications needed to keep track of your Stars and your subscription.

10Your poster orders

A poster has to be shipped: that requires an address. It is collected by Stripe at the time of payment — it never passes through the app — then passed on to our printer, Prodigi, solely to ship your parcel.

Your poster’s file is kept for the duration of the order and its tracking, in a private space that the printer accesses through a time-limited signed link. We also keep what you chose — size, paper, frame, dedication — so that we can reprint it identically if the parcel were lost.

The tracking link you receive does not require an account: it carries the order identifier, which cannot be guessed. It shows only the status, the product and the carrier — never your address or your email.

Deleting your account removes your orders and their files.

11Where data lives

Our servers are hosted by Supabase in the European Union (Ireland, eu-west-1 region). The website is hosted by Vercel.

Other services are involved, and only for what they do: Apple and Google for signing in to your account, Star payments and delivering notifications; Stripe for poster payments and collecting the delivery address; Prodigi for printing and shipping them.

Your account, if you create one, contains your email address — the one that signing in gives us, which may be an Apple relay address if you chose to hide yours — and your Star balance. Nothing more: we do not ask for your name, your age, or anything else.

No advertising, no trackers, no resale of data, no profiling. The website sets no audience measurement cookie.

12Your rights

The data controller is the company EDGYX, a French SAS registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under number 994 642 866, whose registered office is at 61 rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris, France.

Under the GDPR, you may request access to, rectification, portability or erasure of your data, and object to its processing.

Account deletion is available directly in the app— My account → “Delete my account”. It is immediate and permanent: the ledger of your Stars, the log of your readings and your devices’ notification identifier disappear with it. Uninstalling the app erases what lived on your phone.

If you no longer have the app — uninstalled, phone changed, device lost — the deletion page (in French) explains how to request it another way, and details what goes and what remains.

For any other request: contact@edgyx.ai. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority) if our answer does not satisfy you.

This policy is a translation of the French version, available at leonore.app/confidentialite. In the event of any discrepancy between the two, the French version prevails.
